Srinivas Reddy, Team India Coach, Kabaddi Masters Dubai

“Kabaddi Masters Dubai will see the best of Kabaddi talent coming together to participate and we will not take this tournament lightly. We have been training for over 3 months, working on our fitness and strategy for Kabaddi Masters Dubai.  We have India’s best players participating for this tournament and we will not underestimate any team as all teams have come equally prepared. In terms of our competition, there is always a certain amount of pressure when India and Pakistan face each other, but once the game begins the team will only focus on giving their best on the mat and keep the trophy as their goal. To take the participating teams head on, we are prepared with an extremely balanced squad, keeping our defence and offence sides equally strong. We have a total of 14 players, the 7 waiting on the bench are as good as the 7 who will be on the mat so we are truly prepared.”

Ajay Thakur, Captain, Team India, Kabaddi Masters Dubai

“I am a new captain, I am really happy about it but at the same time there is pressure also on me. There are so many good players in the Indian team and the boys are really smart, they have the experience and most of them have been playing since PKL season 1. When you play for India, the squad is very matured and experienced. They are mainly the top players of PKL, with a high sense of confidence and right amount of aggression. They know how to handle any given situation. We look at our opposition team and their strategy and then we decide our playing seven. The Team has thoroughly trained under our new coach Srinivas Reddy for Kabaddi Master Dubai 2018 with our fitness level rising every day. Winning is important for us because this will boost our confidence for the anticipated Asian Games.”
