Google reveals India winners for the 2017 Premier Partner Awards

Google India has brought its global Premier Partner Awards to India. The awards aim to recognise Indian advertising agencies and digital marketing firms, for their innovation and excellence in digital. Five advertising agencies have been selected as winners from India, and they will now go on to compete at the APAC level. The shortlisted APAC agencies will then compete at the global finals being held in New York on September 28, 2017.

 The five winners and their winning campaigns are: Interactive Avenues wins the Search Innovation Award for leveraging Search to communicate Sprite's message. Social Beat Digital Marketing LLP has won the Display Innovation Award for its brand building and lead generation campaign for Casa Grande. Dentsu Aegis Network India is the winner of the Mobile Innovation Award for its aggressive digital marketing campaign for Sokrati bagged the Shopping Innovation Award for its innovative campaign for Pipa Bella and O3M Directional Marketing won the Growing Businesses Online Award for Johnson Lifts.

 Each award recognises Premier Partner agencies and professionals who have used Google’s products and/or other digital strategies and platforms, to not only achieve marketing excellence, but also generate outstanding results for their clients. The winners were chosen by a jury panel comprising Krishnan Sundaram, Vice President, Global Marketing Transformation at Unilever; Ravi Balakrishnan, Editor, Economic Times Brand Equity; Sapna Chadha, Director Marketing, Southeast Asia and India; Shalini Girish, Director - Google Marketing Solutions, Google India and Sam Singh, Director - India Agencies, Google India.  

 Congratulating the winners, Sapna Chadha, Director - Marketing, Southeast Asia and India, Google said, “With India’s rapidly growing internet population, it is exciting to see that all agencies are now embracing digital. We had a diverse set of award nominations with a clear focus on delivering measurable results to clients, in terms of cost efficiencies, productivity and innovation. I’d like to congratulate the India winners and wish them the very best for the regional and global rounds”.

 On the sidelines of the Premier Partner Awards 2017 felicitation ceremony, Google hosted a Knowledge session that was themed  ‘Innovation First, Change the Game’. The theme refers to the mindset and thinking required today to disrupt in a hyper-competitive, uncertain and demanding digital environment. Google’s Rajan Anandan, Vice President - India and Southeast Asia, Google, spoke about the digital opportunity and ecosystem in 2020 and the initiatives by the company to grow and fuel this ecosystem. Some of the external speakers at the event were Erik Qualman, Motivational Speaker & #1 bestselling author and Rama Bijapurkar, Marketing Guru, who brought to light the the trends that are shaping our digital future and brand strategies needed to win in this evolving world.
