Speaking about the event, BV Rao, Editor, Firstpost said, “What’s paramount for us at Firstpost is the honest reporting of the truth in the stories that unravel. The past couple of weeks have seen women across the country find a voice to let the world know about their traumas they’ve faced with regard to sexual harassment and the toxic masculinity that extends to all facets of Indian society. We have extended our support by giving these women a platform, for they are the ones who need to reach out and make themselves heard around the world. Through the #MeToo Conversations event, we aim to take the movement to the next stage and address the question on everybody’s mind – where do we go from here? What we plan on doing is educating the existing society around us and providing them with a clearer picture of the exact details of dealing with a situation relating to a #MeToo incident”.
