Facebook appoints India board; separates India market from APAC region

Facebook has appointed a 6 member board that will head India operations. The Facebook India team will report directly to their headquarters in Menlo Park and not to Facebook APAC operations. Members of the board are Ajit Mohan, VP and Managing Director whose appointment was announced last year, Sandeep Bhushan - Director and Head of Global Marketing Solutions, Akhi Das - Policy Director, Prashant Aluru - Strategy and Operations Director, Manish Chopra - Director of Partnerships, and Amrita Ahuja - Director of Communications.

Siddharth Banerjee, Director of Global Sales Organization (Customer Partnerships and Agencies), and Archana Vohra, Director of Small and Medium Business, will also join the company but will not be part of the board and report to Bhushan.
