EFFIE 2012 ropes in COLORS as presenting sponsor!

In 2001, The Advertising Club Bombay was chosen as the first asian partner to run the EFFIEs in this part of the world by EFFIEs New York.  The EFFIE Awards is an International awards from New York.

Within twelve years the EFFIEs have become the most coveted awards of its kind in India.  It is by far the only award that recognizes what has worked at the market place and how advertising has contributed towards building of a brand.  The Effie is the only award that is given to honour how well advertising has impacted the success of the brand at the market place. Further it is also the only award that is given to the Agency and also to the Client.  

The EFFIEs introduces a profound change in the concept of advertising awards.  Awards is no longer be just a celebration of the craft of advertising, but a solid acknowledgement of the agency’s power to build brands.

This year the Ad Club received a record number of entries 357 to be precise which is the highest ever.  These entries were judged at Mumbai and Delhi.

The Ad Club had conducted Round I at Delhi last year but this year it conducted both Round I & Round II at Delhi.  Mumbai also got three rounds of judging and a total of 124 judges participated in the five rounds of judging out of which 68 were clients.

The Industry has accorded gold standard to the paperless judging process managed by the Ad Club Secretariat.  The Ad Club provides every judge a high-end laptop and headphone.  The judging is silent and devoid of discussion.

The Grand Gala awards ceremony is scheduled on Tuesday, 4th December, 2012 at 6.30 pm at the Royal Western India Turf Club, Enclosure II, Race Course, Mahalaxmi, Mumbai.  The awards ceremony will be followed by cocktails and dinner.
