Ecom Express appoints Sivram S.D. as Vice President, Corporate Strategy & Planning

Ecom Express Private Limited, a leading logistics solutions provider for ecommerce industry, has appointed Sivram S.D. as Vice President for Corporate Strategy & Planning.

In this new position, Sivram will work with the leadership team to define the company’s future strategy including identifying new business avenues, leading acquisitions & synergies, launching new products, international & cross-border solutions. In addition, he would also focus on optimizing the company’s operations, productivities, cost structures and further improve business and performance analytics. Sivram would be leading the company’s action plan focusing on execution to transform the business into a high performance organization.

In his previous role at Jabong.com, Sivram was heading Operations Analytics and Marketplace Pricing for the company. He was also leading key strategic initiatives for the company at various points in time. Prior to this, he worked as a Management Consultant at A.T. Kearney India. He has an MBA Degree from IIM Bangalore.

With this new appointment, the Company has further strengthened its senior leadership team which has seen expansion with the recent appointments of Ramesh Kharbanda as the Chief Operating Officer responsible for Countrywide Network, Rishi Sareen as Vice President - Information & Technology, Prominder Singh Bhatia as Vice President - Sales and Vivek Gupta as Chief Human Resources Officer.

Rishi Sareen and Prominder Bhatia had made their movements from Blue Dart and FedEx respectively while Ramesh Kharbanda moved from International Tractors and Vivek Gupta from G4S India.

Ecom Express had raised $133 million from Warburg Pincus in June 2015 which is the largest round of funding raised to date in the Indian logistics sector.
