Chivas 18 alchemy blends together fine taste & handcrafted luxury

Chivas 18, The World’s Best Blended Scotch Whisky’, collaborated with 5 luxury aficionados to play host to the city’s discerning elite with ‘Chivas 18 Alchemy’ a multi-sensorial experience that left everyone mesmerized at the luxurious The Leela Palace, New Delhi.

It was an evening of modern artistic opulence laced with panache and crafted for the senses by five virtuosos – renowned Designer Ashish N Soni, Luxurista & Entrepreneur Kalyani Chawla, Fashion & Lifestyle connoisseur Sunil Sethi, Curator & Interior designer Sussanne Khan and Fashion & Luxury writer Vinod Nair – who each curated a scintillating and unparalleled expression of craftsmanship inspired by the award winning blend Chivas 18.

Kalyani Chawla, as the custodian for sense of sight, deconstructed the 85 flavours of Chivas 18 into an aesthetic feast – creating impactful imagery through edibles! Amid and around the decadent whisky dinner the visual art depicted the essence of Scottish heritage in opulent luxury.

The master story teller, Vinod Nair, presenting the sense of sound, curated the ‘Tale of Handcrafted Luxe’ – a bespoke wall of the luxurious firsts and the unique-s, narrating stories of extravagance.

Inspired by the multiple layers of flavour in Chivas 18 and what this luxury blend means to him, Sunil Sethi the curator of the sense of taste unveiled a warm, inviting setting to enjoy Chivas in its different guises. His split-level bar, accented by a combination of wood and directional metal panels, speaks of peat’s structure and the varying layers of taste found in each amber whisky drop.

Showcasing how sense of smell is essential to blending an elegant, fine whisky, Ashish N Soni, the alchemist for the sense of smell, explored perfume blending to create three fragrances inspired by 85 notes of Chivas 18.

Bringing alive the Scottish landscapes with woods, grass and moss and the rustic textures of leather and stone, Sussanne Khan deciphered the sense of touch, she curated an elegant space inspired by the ideas and emotions evoked by the origins of the blend.

The Chivas 18 Alchemy carved out a unique space standing for luxury and all things fine, conveying its novelty through gentle magnificence and subdued grandeur. The five Alchemists also co-curated canapes with the hotel chef and bespoke cocktails for each of their senses.

Through this collaboration, the Alchemists are bringing forth modern & luxurious expressions of creativity that arouse the senses, in a tangible mélange befitting Chivas18. The campaign is deploying digital, ATL advertising and experiential mediums across multiple cities.
