Channel NewsAsia International Launched on Tata Sky

Channel NewsAsia, ranked among the three most preferred English news channels in Asia, has now launched its services on Tata Sky. The channel would be available on channel no 535 and would reach 14 million households in India on Tata Sky platform. The channel has been present in India as an FTA news channel for the past 15 years.

Luxury goods and B2B are two interesting areas. I think as a news channel we will focus on banking services, financial services, consultancy, travel.”

A Singapore headquartered MediaCorp channel, it is now available in over 58 million households across 27 territories in Asia. Its bouquet of programmes includes news every hour on the hour, business programmes, current affairs programmes, showcasing Asia from within Asia.

The channel would continue to have a single beam that goes across Asia. Beyond news and current affair, viewers at Tata Sky can enjoy the channel’s popular travel & lifestyle shows for instance a taste of the travel, food and culture of the renowned destinations of Japan and Taiwan, in ‘Welcome 2 Taiwan’; and ‘Luxe Asia’. Business programmes such as ‘Asia Connect’ and ‘Money Matters’ too would be aired.

With the introduction of Channel NewsAsia International, Tata Sky has now expanded its bouquet of news channels to 96 which includes 14 English News, 22 Hindi News channels and 57 regional news channels.
