Cannes Lions 2019: On Day 5, FCB Ulka wins Gold for India; DDB Mudra picks up Bronze Lion

On Day 5, Cannes Lions 2019 announced the winners for the categories Sustainable Development Goals, Glass - The Lion for Change, Film, and Titanium. Indian work won 2 Lions under Sustainable Development Goals category. India hauls 21 Lions this year at the festival which makes our tally the same as previous year. 

FCB ULka Delhi won India’s first Gold Lion for their work The Open Door Project for The Millennium School under the category Sustainable Development Goals.

On winning India’s first and only Gold at Cannes Lions 2019, Rohit Ohri, Chairman and CEO, FCB India said, “This gold lion is true testimony to FCB's creative transformation journey. I'm proud and humbled to have the honour to win India's only Gold Lion of Cannes 2019.

DDB Mudra won a Bronze Lion for their work Project Free Period for Johnson and Johnson India under the Sustainable Development Category.

Commenting on the win, Rahul Mathew, National Creative Director, DDB Mudra Group said, “Since 2018, we have been working on making Project Free Period a more sustainable initiative. And we believe we now have an executable blueprint that can be replicated anywhere. We’re glad the jury could see the larger impact that we have managed.”
