The music video brings to the fore some alarming facts about the extent of plastic pollution. Our oceans contain over 200 million tons of plastics while 83% of the world’s tap water is contaminated by plastics; this figure goes up to 90% in India. Toxins released from plastic enter the food chain and cause cancer, immune disorders, and birth defects. At the same time, methane gas released because of plastic pollution is one of the leading causes of global warming. The campaign aims to get people to say no to single-use plastic.
