BARC Wk 45 ratings: Star Bharat moves past Zee TV to claim top spot

BARC ratings for Week 45 (November 4-10) [HSM (U+R) : NCCS All : 2+ Individuals] saw Star Bharat climbing up to the numero uno spot. The weeks preceding this development saw the channel put up a strong show at the ratings charts post its rebranding (the channel was previously known as Life OK) in August-end this year. 

Star Bharat, which has been hovering in the second and third spots for some weeks now, finally climbed up to the numero uno spot in Week 45, replacing Zee TV. The channel was placed at No. 2 last week. However, Star Bharat saw a decline in its gross viewership at 687,238 from 698,635 recorded in Week 44. Sitcom ‘Kya Haal Mr Panchaal’ made an entry to the list of most watched shows on Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban at No. 4 with 9,061 Impressions (000s). 

Zee Anmol climbed up a couple of notches to the second spot this week, garnering a gross viewership of 687,192, an increase from 676,733 recorded in Week 44. The channel was leading the Hindi GEC space in Rural+Urban for several weeks until Week 44. 

Zee TV, which had reached the No. 1 spot last week, slipped a couple of notches to the third spot in Week 45, garnering a gross viewership of 681,138, a decline from 741,062 recorded last week. Its show, ‘Kundali Bhagya’, was placed in the second spot with 11,509 Impressions (000s), while ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ followed in the third spot with 10,569 Impressions (000s). 

Colors climbed up a notch to No. 4 in Week 45, garnering a gross viewership of 612,853, an increase from 582,344 recorded last week. 

Sony Pal, on the other hand, slipped a notch to the fifth spot this week, garnering a gross viewership of 594,061, a slight decline from 593,863 recorded in Week 44. 

Star Plus remained unchanged at No. 6 in Week 45, garnering a gross viewership of 527,648, a further increase from 517,871 recorded last week. 

Sony Entertainment Television, which had slid a notch to No. 7 last week, remained in this position in Week 45, recording a gross viewership of 430,493, a decline from 462,257 recorded last week. 

Star Utsav saw gains this week as well, climbing up a notch to the eighth spot, garnering a gross viewership of 392,455, a further increase from 373,404 recorded in Week 44. 

Rishtey, too, climbed up a notch in Week 45 to No. 9, after witnessing losses last week. The channel garnered a gross viewership of 382,655, an increase from 370,051 recorded last week. 

Sony SAB, which had climbed up a notch to the eighth spot last week, dropped to No. 10 in Week 45, witnessing a further decline in its gross viewership – from 379,771 in Week 44 to 377,236 recorded this week.
