BARC Wk 43: Kumkum Bhagya trumps Naagin 3 to be the most watched show in R+U

BARC ratings for Week 43 (October 20 - October 26) [HSM (U+R): NCCS All: 2+ Individuals] saw Zee Anmol further consolidate its numero uno position. Its show ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ moved past Colors’ ‘Naagin 3’ to become the most watched show on Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban. 

After reclaiming the numero uno position last week, Zee Anmol further consolidated its position in Week 43, garnering a gross viewership of 848655 as against 847,399 recorded last week. After months of hovering in the second or third positions, this week ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ moved past ‘Naagin 3’ to become the most watched show on Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban with 13,753 (000) Impressions, while ‘Mahek’ slipped a notch to No. 4 with 10,244 (000) Impressions. 

Star Utsav continued in the second spot this week, garnering a gross viewership of 743,680, a further decline from 800,897 recorded in Week 42. 

Star Bharat climbed up a notch to No. 3 this week. The channel saw an increase in its gross viewership to 739,742, from 692,457 recorded in Week 42. 

Zee TV, too, climbed up a notch to the fifth position in Week 43, garnering a gross viewership of 695346, an increase from 653,759 recorded last week. ‘Kundali Bhagya’ moved to No. 3 among most watched shows with 11,865 (000) Impressions, while marquee show ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ remained at No. 5 with 9,986 (000) impressions. 

Meanwhile, Star Plus slipped a couple of notches to No. 5 this week, garnering a gross viewership of 670,236, a further decline from 702,026 recorded in Week 42. 

On the other hand, Colors climbed up a couple of notches to the sixth spot in Week 43, garnering a gross viewership of 589766, an increase from 545,284 recorded last week. Colors’ prime property, ‘Naagin 3’, slipped a notch to No. 2 for the first time since the show was launched with 13,135 (000) Impressions.  

Sony Entertainment Television continued in the seventh spot this week as well, registering a gross viewership of 570,003, a slight decline from 573,252 recorded in Week 42. 

Sony Pal slipped a couple of notches to No. 8 in Week 43. The channel also saw a decline in its gross viewership from 579,069 recorded last week to 565,600 recorded in this week. 

Sony SAB, which had moved out of the list of top 10 Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban in Week 42, was back in the list at No. 9 in Week 43. The channel garnered a gross viewership of 429,475 this week. Sony SAB had secured a gross viewership of 354,597 in Week 41, when it was placed in the eighth spot. 

Dangal TV slipped a notch to the tenth spot in Week 43, garnering a gross viewership of 427,464, a decline from 459,287 recorded last week. 

Rishtey, which was placed at No. 10 in Week 42, moved out of the top 10 Hindi GECs’ list this week. The channel has secured a gross viewership of 418,833 in Week 42.
