BARC Wk 30: Major gains for Star Utsav, Star Bharat; Naagin 3 tops charts

BARC ratings for Week 30 (July 21-27) [HSM (U+R): NCCS All : 2+ Individuals] saw Star Utsav, Star Bharat, and Sony Entertainment Television registering gains in their rankings as well as gross viewership. ‘Naagin 3’ continues to go from strength to strength, registering further growth in its viewership to 15,818 (000) Impressions. 

Zee Anmol continues to dominate the Hindi GEC space in Rural+Urban. The channel was placed at No. 1 in Week 30 as well, garnering a gross viewership of 673,461, a decline from its highest-ever gross viewership of 715,928 recorded last week. Re-run of the hit show, ‘Kumkum Bhagya’, continued at No. 4 among most watched shows on Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban with 11,922 (000) Impressions.  

Star Utsav saw huge gains this week, climbing up four notches to No. 2 from the fourth spot in Week 29. The channel recorded a leap in its gross viewership as well – from 585,245 last week to 646,474 in Week 30. 

Star Bharat climbed up a notch to the third spot in Week 30, garnering a gross viewership of 644,544, a further increase from 591,833 recorded last week.  

On the other hand, after being placed in the second spot for some weeks, Zee TV slid a couple of notches to No. 4 in Week 30. However, the channel recorded an increase in its gross viewership to 638,796 from 612,711 recorded last week. Two of its shows feature among the most watched shows on Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban. Spin-off show, ‘Kundali Bhagya’, stayed at No. 2 this week with 13,003 (000) impressions, while marquee show, ‘Kumkum Bhagya’, was placed at No. 3 with 11,961 (000) Impressions.  

After seeing major gains last week, Colors slid a couple of notches to No. 5 in Week 30, garnering a gross viewership of 607,306, a marginal decline from 608,701 recorded last week. Colors’ prime property, ‘Naagin 3’, continued as the most watched show in Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban with 15,818 (000) Impressions. Dance reality show, ‘Dance Deewane’, made a re-entry in the list of most watched shows at No. 5 with 10,506 (000) Impressions. 

Sony Pal slid a notch to the sixth spot this week, recording a gross viewership of 603,033, an increase from 586,868 recorded in Week 29. 

There was no change in Star Plus’ position in Week 30 as well, as the channel continued in the seventh spot, recording a gross viewership of 557,681, a further increase from 532,629 recorded last week. 

Sony Entertainment Television saw gains this week, climbing up a couple of notches to No. 8, with a gross viewership of 492,703, compared to 447,894 recorded in Week 29. 

Rishtey remained unchanged in the ninth spot in Week 30, garnering a gross viewership of 441,164, a decline from 458,122 recorded last week. 

Sony SAB, on the other hand, slid a couple of notches to No. 10 this week, with a gross viewership of 431,641, decline from 468,725 recorded in Week 29.
