BARC Wk 12 ratings: No change in top order, with Star Plus at No. 1

BARC ratings for Week 12 (March 18-24) [HSM (U+R) : NCCS All : 2+ Individuals] saw just one change in the top 10 Hindi GECs order as the other channels held on to their positions. ‘Naagin Season 2’ reigned on Colors as well as on Rishtey in Rural+Urban this week. 

Star Plus remained at No. 1 in Week 12, however, the channel continued to witness further decline in its gross viewership from 744,974 recorded last week to 728,340 garnered this week. Its show, ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’, continued in the third spot with 11,261 Impressions (000s). Meanwhile, ‘Saath Nibhaana Saathiya’, which was the fifth most watch show on Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban, moved out of this list in Week 12. 

Colors remained firm in the second spot this week, witnessing an increase in its gross viewership to 630,806, from 612,603 recorded in Week 11. ‘Naagin Season 2’ remained the most watched show on Hindi GEC in Rural+Urban, garnering 12,570 Impressions (000s). 

Sony Pal, too, remained unchanged at No. 3 in Week 12, recording a gross viewership of 603,135, an increase from 574,333 recorded last week. The channel has been steadily gaining grounds in the last few weeks. 

Zee TV continued to be placed at the fourth spot, witnessing a gross viewership of 550,272 this week, an increase from 537,768 recorded in Week 10. Its show, ‘Kumkum Bhagya’, remained at No. 2, witnessing 11,604 Impressions (000s). 

Rishtey, which had climbed up a notch to be placed at the fifth spot in Week 11, remained in this position this as well. The channel saw further growth in its gross viewership – from 503,153 to 508,839 this week. Re-run of ‘Naagin - Season 2’ on Rishtey garnered 9,164 Impressions (000s). 

Zee Anmol, which had slipped a notch to No. 6 in Week 11, continued in this spot this week, garnering a gross viewership of 492,092, an increase from 459,800 recorded last week. 

Sony SAB continued in the seventh spot in Week 12, garnering a gross viewership of 439,697, compared to 448,564 recorded last week. Its popular and long-running sitcom, ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ slipped a notch to No. 5 among the most watched shows on Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban, garnering 9,094 Impressions (000s). 

This week, Star Utsav and Sony Entertainment Television swapped places, with Star Utsav climbing up a notch to the eighth spot in Week 12, witnessing a gross viewership of 433,212, a marginal decline from 432,893 recorded last week. 

Sony Entertainment Television, meanwhile, slipped a notch to No. 9 this week, witnessing a decline in its gross viewership to from 445,854 recorded in Week 11 to 429,864 this week. 

Life OK continued in the tenth spot in Week 12 as well, registering a gross viewership of 417,957, an increase from 388,575 recorded in last week.
