BARC Ratings Week 36: Star Plus remains at No. 1 in Rural+Urban

BARC ratings for Week 36 (September 3-9) of 2016 [HSM (U+R) : NCCS All : 4+ Individuals] saw Star Plus maintain its numero uno position amongst Hindi GECs.

Star Plus continued to reign amongst the Hindi GECs in Week 36 as well, garnering gross viewership of 743,856, a decline from 761,819 recorded last week. Two of its shows featured in the list of top 5 shows on Hindi GECs in Week 36. ‘Saath Nibhana Saathiya’ slipped a notch to be placed in the third spot, garnering 10,364 Impressions (000s), while ‘Yeh Hain Mohabbatein’ remained at No. 5 with 9,165 Impressions (000s).

Zee TV’s position, too, remained unchanged at No. 2 in Week 36, with the channel registering gross viewership of 578,775, compared to 598,015 recorded last week. Its marquee show, ‘Kumkum Bhagya’, once again topped the charts, garnering 11,815 Impressions (000s) this week. Meanwhile, ‘Brahmarakshas - Jaag Utha Shaitan’ was back at No. 2, garnering 11,520 Impressions (000s).

Colors held on to its No. 3 position this week, witnessing an increase in its gross viewership to 576,900 from 537,562 recorded in Week 35. Its show, ‘Shakti - Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki’, continued to be the fourth most watch show on Hind GECs in Rural+Urban with 9,831 Impressions (000s) in Week 36.

Placed at No. 4, Zee Anmol witnessed further decline in its gross viewership in Week 36 to 485,943 from 517,888 recorded last week.

Star Utsav has been on a decline after reaching the high of No. 2 spot among Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban. The channel continued to see a drop in its gross viewership in Week 36 as well, from 440,375 in Week 35 to 434,673 this week.

Life OK retained its sixth position with gross viewership of 412,379 this week, a slight increase from 411,927 recorded in Week 35.

Sony Pal’s position, too, remained unchanged at No. 7. The channel registered a gross viewership of 382183 in Week 36, compared to 389,607 recorded last week.

Sony Entertainment Television and Sony SAB switched places this week, with the former climbing up a notch to No. 8, garnering a gross viewership of 381,091, an increase from 377,075 recorded in Week 35.

On the other hand, Sony SAB slipped to No. 9 in Week 36, witnessing a further decline in its gross viewership from 384,302 recorded last week to 368,837 this week.

Placed at the tenth spot in Week 36 as well, Rishtey saw a further increase in its gross viewership to 339,335 from 301,226 recorded last week.
