Airtel's Anand Chandrasekaran is all set to pursue his entrepreneurial interests
Anand Chandrasekaran, Airtel’s Chief Product Officer has resigned after 13 months but will continue in his current position until June 10, 2015 till he serves his notice period. Media Reports also suggest that he wants to pursue entrepreneurial interests after his resignation.
Chandrasekaran holds an undergraduate degree in Engineering in Electronics and Communication from PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore and has pursued his graduation and PG in Electrical engineering from Stanford University in 2001. After which he co-founded Aeroprise, one of the early innovators in personalized mobile applications software.
Before Bharti Airtel, Chandrasekaran was working with Yahoo on Yahoo Mobile, Yahoo Answers, online mapping, Yahoo Travel and the Yahoo Search businesses.
Anand was given the title of Young Global Leader in 2010 by World Economics Forum and in 2014 he helped in launching Wynk Music. He is the producer of the HIV-AIDS related documentary Tapestries of Hope.
