A Republic Day Study by SEMrush studies National Awareness among Indians

While the nation is turning tricolor again for the celebration of Indian democracy and constitution, a nationwide study conducted by SEMrush, Online visibility management, and content marketing SaaS platform reignites the flame of patriotism and nationalism. The questions related to ‘Republic day’ registered higher average monthly search in comparison with previous years. In the study, SEMrush observed that questions – ‘What is Republic Day’, ‘Why do we celebrate Republic Day’, and ‘Why we celebrate Republic Day’ marked average monthly search volumes of 6600, 5400, and 2400 respectively for 2018.

The rising tides of awareness for India’s foundation as a democratic, republic, and constitutional nation has gained prominence over the years amongst Indians. The study conducted by SEMrush in India brought light on the fact that people are searching for their patriotic roots and putting efforts to know their nation closely. The research also showcased that speeches, images, quotes, essay related to Republic day also registered great search volumes.

The SEMrush study highlighted that keywords – ‘Republic Day Speech’, and ‘Republic Day Images’ marked average monthly search volume of 60,500 each for 2018.  Along with this, the keywords ‘Republic Day speech in Hindi’, ‘Republic Day essay’, and ‘Republic Day quotes’ also registered monthly average search volumes of nearly 22K, 22K, and 14.8K respectively.

The study conducted by SEMrush on the occasion of the 70th Republic Day of India indicates renewed enthusiasm in the nation. The online search volumes of keywords related to ‘Republic Day’ are rapidly growing. This signifies an increase of awareness amongst Indians for constitutional democracy and their love for India.” 

Mr. Ayyar further added, “Various government programs like ‘Digital India’ and the enormous increase in the number of smartphone users have resulted in increased connection and conversation among the people of India about the state of society and progress. Our analysis forecasts that the trend will continue in the coming years and people will get closer to their nation.”
