85 FM channels become provisional winners

On the ninth day of e-auctions for FM phase III, batch 1, Jaipur happened to be the only city with multiple bidders. (Provisional winning price: 19,15,14,242, excess demand: 2 and applicable price hike: 5%). Interestingly, Bangalore which was going full steam for the last couple of days did not find any bidders at clock round price in Round 36. After surprising many, Bhubaneswar too saw no bidders at round 36 price. Delhi, meanwhile, continues to be at the head of table with 1,38,64,14,767

Only cities which are applicable for percentage price Increment on Day 10 are Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Delhi, Jaipur, Mumbai, Nasik, Patiala and Pune. 

As per I&B ministry, at the close of the ninth day of bidding, 85 channels in 56 cities became provisionally winning channels with cumulative provisional winning price of Rs 900 Crore against their aggregate reserve price of about Rs 407 Crore. Thus the summation of provisional winning prices surpassed the cumulative reserve price of the corresponding 85 channels by Rs 493.19 Crore or 121.2%. Overall, cumulative provisional winning price exceeded the total reserve price of the first batch by Rs 349.89 Crore or 63.6%.  Rs 550.18 Crore is the total reserve price of the first batch.
