Zee TV's 'Yahaan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli' to bid adieu!

After enthralling the audiences for over three glorious years, Rajshree Productions’  Zee TV’s primetime show, Yahaan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli will come to an end on 14 July 2012.  The show which was in top form right from its commencement was launched in November 2009 and has completed nearly 700 episodes. The final episode which will be aired on 13 July will be a ‘Mahasangam’ along with the 8 pm show, Hitler Didi. Starting 16 July, Hitler Didi will move to the 8 30 pm and the new show, Rab Se Sohna Isshq will premiere at 8 pm on Zee TV.
 
Based in Ujjain, the show traced the life of Swarn Abha (played by Suhasi Dhami), her love for her house, Swarn Bhawan, in which she grew up and the length she goes to save her house from getting sold due to her father’s financial crisis. Over the years, the show was one of the top rated shows on TV and  had managed to warm the hearts of millions of audiences across the globe. The leads of the show, Karan V Grover and Suhasi Dhami, popularly known as Karan & Abha became household names as an ideal couple. The supporting cast, which consisted of veteran actors like Alok Nath & Smita Jaykar and other A list actors like Namrata Thapa, Sameer Dharmadhikari, Shishir Sharma, Ankur Nayar, Dimple Inamdar, Kishori Sahane and later joined by Iqbal Khan endeared the hearts of the viewers through their poignant portrayal of the various highpoints of the show. The show reached an all time high during the playout of the very popular Case 777 series which garnered a TVR of 4.0 and maintained an average TVR of 3.0 over 3 years.

Said Suhasi Dhami, “My character’s Abha in Yahaan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli is a household name…what more can I ask for? The world knows me as ‘Abha’ and idealizes me as a bahu, beti  or a life partner. The show has given me opportunities to constantly challenge my acting abilities with the various twists and turns and I’ve received a very favorable response from the industry. My heartfelt thanks to Zee TV and Kavita Barjatya for giving me this role and having the faith in me to pull off such a complex character. I’ll definitely miss the show and miss enacting ‘Abha’.” Her co-star of three years, Karan V Grover echoed a similar feeling, “I still can’t believe that the show is coming to an end. This was like my second home. I have spent more hours on the sets of the show in these three years than at home! But I am extremely happy and thank the entire cast and crew for working so hard to make the show popular and run for so long which is rare in today’s TV scenario. Both Suhasi and I played so many different characters in this show even while playing the lead roles that it is definitely a landmark in my acting career. I feel very proud and lucky to be a part of such a
