Technological evolution explored at Spikes Asia TechTalks

TechTalks, a series of future-focused sessions at this year’s Spikes Asia Festival, will focus on transformative technology. Evolutionary developments will be examined through an exciting programme of speakers and hands on workshops, uncovering everything from Virtual, Augmented and Mixed Reality to the Internet of Things, Mobile, Programmatic and Audio Technology.

Sponsored by Omnicom Media Group, the TechTalks will take place on the Discovery Stage throughout the Festival, which runs from September 21 to 23, 2016 in Singapore.

Also on the Discovery Stage, attendees can delve into the minds of creative experts in the masterclass series. Entertainment Jury President, Silvia Goh, Chief Content Officer for Publicis Media, Greater China, will discuss the changing face of entertainment in the region. While President of this year’s Film Craft jury, Michael Ritchie, Managing Director, Executive Producer, Revolver/Will O’ Rourke, Australia, will share insights into his creative process and drive, live on stage.

TechTalks sessions on the Discovery Stage include:

Anathea Ruys, Head of Fuse, Asia Pacific, Omnicom Media Group and Alan Bacchelli, Head of Production, Pixelcase, live streaming a virtual reality and examining the relationship between brands and VR; Innovation jury member Tuomas Peltoniemi, President, TBWADigital Arts Network, Asia Pacific, will delve deeper into how individuals interact with new technological experiences; and a live demonstration of the ‘Sound of the Web’ will be led by Gabriel Tamborini, Creative Director and Dave Fernandes, Senior Designer, Fjord, Design and Innovation from Accenture Interactive.

Uncovering the wave of new tech “realities” Rod Findley, ECD, C2K Communications, will observe how brands and companies can engage with technology; Brian Wong, CEO, Founder, Kiip, will discuss the ubiquitous nature of mobile and the role marketing can play; while Rohan Philips, Vice President of Products and Strategy, Asia Pacific, Xaxis, is looking at how advertising can be enhanced through technology and Amy Chen, Co-founder, Bowhead Technology, will address the Internet of Things and its impact on human interactions.

A final deadline extension has been released for August 12.
