Savdhaan India- celebrating 5 years of making India vigilant

Savdhaan India, Life OK’s longest running show, completed 5 successful years of making India vigilant. In these 5 years, the show has succeeded in bringing real life cases to the forefront and has been an eye opener to millions. The show which is meant to be one of the most popular show in its genre hit the milestone on 23rd April 2017.

From teenage kids to senior citizens, the show has successfully empowered people across age groups by creating awareness about the various atrocious crimes committed and how to combat it. The show has always believed in talking about relevant issues to spread awareness and celebrating the common man’s immense power to bring about societal change and justice. It has been such a powerful force of change that even the biggies of the entertainment industry such as  Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Sonakshi Sinha, Divya Dutta, to name a few have supported the show and the concept.

Last year, the show went through a revamp with a new theme ‘darr kar nahi, datt kar’ with an objective to empower the audiences and motivate them to stand up against crime at home, outside and even in the virtual world. The channel also introduced a new series titled, Savdhaan India – Andhavishwas ke khilaaf with regional cinema megastar Ravi Kishan as the host with an aim to urge the mass to fight against superstitious beliefs and question blind faith.

On the occasion of completing 5 years, Sushant Singh (one of the anchors of the show) expressed his happiness by tweeting. He said “Working on Savdhaan India for 5 years now has been an enriching experience. Savdhaan India has proved its success in being able to not just spread the message to fight against crime, but has actually motivated people to fightback. With the increasing crime rate in today’s time, ‘Savdhaan India’ is doing an incredible job in alerting the society by sharing real life incidents about crimes that anybody can fall victim to. I hope to continue being associated with the show as I feel connected to the cause we take up in each episode”.
