Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs is highest non-fiction launch in Hindi GECs

The premiere of the sixth season of ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs’ on February 25, 2017, clocked a stellar opening of 10,777 Impressions’000 across HSM in Week 9 of 2017 (February 25-March 3) as per BARC India data. This makes it the highest non-fiction launch of 2016-17 in the Hindi GEC space.

Commenting on the record-breaking opening, Zee TV Business Head, Deepak Rajadhyaksha, said, “In terms of non-fiction, the last season of ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ broke all records of 2016 on television, delivering the highest ratings for a non-fiction episode. Now with the grand opening to ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs’, we have only strengthened our weekend line-up and are poised for a successful season. We have on board Himesh Reshammiya, Javed Ali and Neha Kakkar as mentors, who not only have a way with kids but also have the ability to step in as role models and guiding forces for their growth as singers. We have enlisted the support of 30 music connoisseurs – experts in the music fraternity, who will aid the selection process and their grooming through and through. We aim to set even higher benchmarks of excellence with this season of ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs’.”

Expressing his excitement over the grand opening of the show, Himesh Reshammiya said, “The credit goes to the spectacular talent on the show this year. The creative team of Li’l Champs and the three of us – Javed, Neha and I – had complete faith in the quality of contestants that we have selected to be a part of the sixth season. Zee has a knack for identifying the right talent that makes its talent-based reality shows stand head and shoulders above the rest. I am thoroughly enjoying shooting for the episodes already and look forward to a great season.”

Neha Kakkar added here, “It’s truly gratifying to know that the viewers have welcomed us with open arms. These tiny tots have proved yet again that there is no substitute for remarkable talent.”

“It is said that a journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step. We have taken that first step of our musical journey and the entire nation has showered us with so much love,” said Javed Ali.

‘Amul Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs’ is co-powered by Airtel Payments Bank, while Racing Partner is T1 Prima Truck. The show airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9 pm on Zee TV.
