Paritosh Joshi quits as CEO of India TV

Paritosh Joshi has put in his papers as Chief Executive Officer of India TV after serving for nine months. Joshi, who was associated with India TV as strategist since September 2012, was brought on board as CEO in November 2015.

In a release issued, Ritu Dhawan, Managing Director, India TV, confirmed the development and said, “Paritosh joined us in November, 2015 and while we hoped that this would be a long association, it has clearly proven taxing for him as he continues to commute between two metros. He has now chosen to return to his family in Mumbai. It was a pleasure having him on board and we wish him well with his future endeavours.”

On his stint at India TV, Paritosh Joshi said, “It was indeed a pleasure working with Brand India TV and, though we could not continue for longer duration due to my personal obligations, I wish Brand India TV many more land marks to achieve.”

Joshi was working on a number of industry initiatives, including BARC and MRUC after quitting as CEO of Star CJ Network in April 2012, besides working as strategist for India TV for three years. Joshi had joined Star India in 2005 as Revenue Management Head and was reporting directly to Samir Nair, then President of Advertising, Sales and Distribution of Star India.

With three decades of experience in sales, marketing and general management, Joshi, an alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad, has three decades of experience in sales, marketing and general management. He has worked with companies like ITC, Procter & Gamble, Business Standard, Maharaja and Quest in the course of his career.
