MediaCom names Ricardo Clemente as CEO of MediaCom Portugal!

MediaCom has named Ricardo Clemente as the new Chief Executive of MediaCom Portugal.  Ricardo, who was previously CEO of GroupM Interaction in Portugal, will start his new role with immediate effect. 
 
Ricardo brings with him extensive experience in the digital space, having led GroupM’s provision of search, traffic and analytics services, as well as the development of the XAXIS digital trading desk, since March 2011. He has also worked at r/com - Renascença Comunicação Multimédia, Portugal’s leading radio broadcaster and Ogilvy. 
 
His primary goal at MediaCom will be to extend the agency’s digital capabilities and to offer highly cost-effective marketing opportunities to clients in a tough economic climate, while also ensuring every MediaCom client continues to enjoy best-in-class service. 
 
In line with MediaCom’s brand philosophy of “People first, better results”, he has also been charged with making the agency one of the top companies to work for in Portugal. 
 
MediaCom Portugal works for a broad range of international and local clients, including VW, Ikea, Electronic Arts, Allianz and Toshiba. In 2012 the agency has enjoyed new business success, picking up five new clients: Kenwood, ACP, Minison, Brio Supermercados and Be Slim. 
 
Ricardo’s predecessor as CEO, Ana Belmar, will stay with the company until the end of the year to ensure a smooth transition.
