McCann and BBH won two Gold awards each at APPIES 2014

The APPIES 2014, an annual festival of the best marketing ideas in Asia announced winners of the 10 Gold Medals, 5 Silver Medals and 5 Best Presenters, as the two-day festival came to an end on 15th August. Held over 14th and 15th August at the National University of Singapore Society (NUSS), the APPIES provided a stimulating platform for all attendees, as they witnessed  award-worthy campaigns from a diverse range of industries, representing 6 broad categories : Food & Beverage, Non- Food FMCG, Consumer Durables, Business Services, Consumer Services and Pro-Bono/Government/Cultural.

There were 18 Indian entries in shortlist for this year's edition. In total, 10 Golds and five Silvers were awarded in this year's edition of the awards. McCann Worldgroup won two Gold for Adding Fizz to Indian Family Mealtime campaign for Coca-Cola and Kick-starting India's Morning for Nescafe Classic. BBH India Pvt. Ltd. won two bagged the Gold for Marico's two campaigns Parachute Advanced Ayurvedic - Sharing Successes and Nihar Shanti Amla - Change with Pride. In the 'Food and Beverages' category, silver was awarded to McCann for its campaign Saffola Masala Oats - The Smarter Way to Stay Fit for Marico.

Also, MTV Rock the Vote campaign created by Viacom18 bagged a silver in the 'Pro bono / Government / Cultural' category. BBDO Singapore's Golds includes one for work on HP for the Indian market, titled 'Help your child shine'. Whereas, Jitender Dabas, EVP and head of planning, McCann Worldgroup, India was also one of the best five presenters this year.

The APPIES is the only award in Singapore where presenters(brand marketers or campaign creators) pitch their work individually, in the presence of a live judging panel, to convince them of their campaign excellence.
