Jose Martin Tharakan appointed Hindustantimes.com Executive Director

Jose Martin Tharakan, Executive Editor of Livemint.com, has been appointed as Executive Director of Hindustantimes.com. Tharakaran has had a decade-long association with HT Media, joining Mint, the business publication from the group, in 2007 as Assistant Managing Editor. 

Tharakan’s appointment was announced by Sukumar Ranganathan, Editor-in-Chief, Hindustan Times, in an internal mail, where he stated, “I am delighted to appoint Jose Martin Tharakan, the Executive Editor of Livemint, as the Executive Editor of Hindustantimes.com, responsible for all the digital operations of Hindustan Times with immediate effect.” 

Ranganathan further mentioned that all digital department heads in Hindustan Times would report to Tharakan, while Tharakan would report to him.
