India Today Group appoints Kalli Purie as Vice Chairperson

There is a change of guard happening at the India Today Group. Kalli Purie has been appointed as the Vice Chairperson of the Group. She is currently Group Editorial Director (Broadcast & New Media) of the India Today Group. She has been playing a leadership role in the group for transferring the equity built in conventional brands into the digital space. 

Her new role will see Kalli Purie spearheading the editorial and business functions of the Group. 

The news was shared by Aroon Purie, Founder and Editor-in-Chief, India Today Group, in an email addressed to the staff of the Group. All those who have been reporting to Purie will now report to Kalli Purie, including the Group CFO and the new Group CEO, when appointed. 

On his next move, Purie wrote, “I would now like to spend my time on strategic steering of the Group and exploring new opportunities.”
