Goafest 2013: Leo Burnett wins the creative race!

Wo wooooo…., Leo Burnett has walked away with the most metals and the eyeballs this year at The Goafest Creative Abby 2013. The agency won a total of 71 metals and celebrated their creativity at Goafest. Their tally comprises of 9 Gold, 34 Silver and 28 Bronze. The second place is taken by McCann Worldgroup India which bagged 56 metals: including 1 Grand Prix, 7 Gold, 15 Silver and 33 Bronze. Taking the third slot was JWT India which won 48 metals, including 5 Gold, 17 Silver and 26 Bronze. The competition was quite tough!

It is quite well said that where there is a will there is a way, but looking at the Creative Abby awards won by JWT it is fair to say where there is creativity there is a way. Controversies notwithstanding, JWT grabbed the third slot from sixth slot (last year).

In total there were 3 Grand Prix, 44 Gold, 157 Silver and 238 Bronze metals that were up for grabs this year and interestingly the agencies that bagged The Grand Prix awards were: McCann Worldgroup India, Grey Worldwide India and Interface Business Solution.

The fourth and the fifth places went to ideas2work and DDB Mudra group respectively. While  ideas@work advertising bagged 29 metals, including 1 Gold, 14 Silver and 14 Bronze, DDB Mudra Group won 16 metals, including 1 Gold, 5 Silver and 10 Bronze. Giving competition to the veterans, Scarecrow Communications and Publicis Communications won 13 metals and 12 metals respectively.

Attending the The Goafest Creative Abbys; all that I can say is the competition is getting higher and tougher.
