Gear up for a week of globally-acclaimed films only on Amazon Prime Video!

This week, Amazon Prime Video brings to you an exciting lineup of entertaining content, ranging from award winning films to an all-time favorite fantasy!  Gear up for the week with the romantic, award-winning film La La Land, starring Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone. The film has received global acclaim bagging a total of 206 awards, including Best Actress and 5 more wins at the Academy Awards. This week’s lineup also includes the fantasy feature film Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and action-packed documentary Danger Close. The TV series available this week onwards include an all new season of Amazon Original One Mississippi and binge-worthy series The Mentalist and Downton Abbey.

In addition to the international lineup, Amazon Prime Video has exciting Indian content lined up for the week, starting with Ayushmann Khurana-Parineeti Chopra starrer Meri Pyaari Bindu. Fed up with the lack of critical appreciation despite being a successful writer, Abhimanyu Roy returns to his roots in Kolkata to write more meaningful literature and decides on an old-fashioned love story - which was now, 3 years in the making.

Danger Close

Freelance female war reporter Alex Quade covers U.S. Special Operations Forces (SOF) on highly classified combat missions. Since 2001, she has embedded with elite SOF, including the U.S. Army Special Forces or Green Berets, Army Rangers, Navy Seals, and CIA clandestine operatives to tell their stories from the front lines. "Danger Close" follows Alex as she lives alongside these highly trained forces on some of the most daring missions ever documented in Iraq and Afghanistan.

One Mississippi

This semi-autobiographical dark comedy starring Tig Notaro follows her as she returns to her hometown after the sudden death of her mother. Still reeling from her own declining health problems, Tig struggles to find her footing with the loss of the one person in her life who understood her. All the while dealing with her clingy girlfriend and her dysfunctional family.

Reign- Season 4

Reign chronicles the rise to power of Mary Queen of Scots (Kane) when she arrives in France as a 15-year-old, betrothed to Prince Francis, and with her four best friends as ladies-in-waiting. It details the secret history of survival at French Court amidst fierce foes, dark forces, and a world of sexual intrigue.

Downton Abbey

Lord Grantham sees his family heritage, especially the grand country home Downton Abbey, as his mission in life. The death of his heir aboard the Titanic means distant cousin Matthew Crawley, a Manchester lawyer, suddenly is next in line and accepts moving onto the vast estate with his even more modernist, socially engaged mother, who clashes with his lordship's domineering, conservative mother, the dowager countess. Marrying off the daughters is another concern. Meanwhile, the butler presides over a staff which serves the family, but also lead most of their entire lives in the servants' quarters, amongst themselves.

The Mentalist

A famous "psychic" outs himself as a fake, and starts working as a consultant for the California Bureau of Investigation so he can find "Red John", the madman who killed his wife and daughter.

Ami Je Ke Tomar

Ankush, plays in this film, a young millionaire with a heart of gold. He successfully runs the business of resorts. His life is anchored by his best friend and business associate, Prachi. Life is all about fun and work and girls, till his car bumps into Esha's cycle. Aditya is instantly enamored by the pretty and innocent girl who seems to have no interest in the flirty, rich bachelor. He ends up giving her a job in his resort even though she can't work in the second shift. As times goes by, Aditya starts sharing his deepest thoughts with Esha. She sees the simple, lovable man behind the successful persona who loves the food made by his aunt. Unwittingly, she loses her heart to this flirty man who confesses to be commitment phobic. These three characters become the best of buddies. Prachi sees the growing chemistry between these two and she keeps her love for Aditya hidden inside her. Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu

Prashanth meets Priya on road when she is in an inebriated condition and he drops her home safely. Soon love develops between them, but her rich businessman father disapproves their love, as Prasanth is a poor guy.

Bhikari

On completing his higher education in London, Samrat Jaikar, a rich, sensible young man, and the only son to his mother returns to India. Sharda takes pride in her son and hands over their entire family business in his name. While the mother-son duo lead the perfect life, an unfortunate event in Samrat's life puts him in a situation where he has to make a choice. Will his choice help him get what he really wants?
