Flying Cursor bets big on long form content, launches The Spool

Flying Cursor, the digital advertising agency has launched The Spool (http://thespool.in/), a digital platform that curates premium lifestyle content. Through a weekly conversation series in text form, and video (and an audio podcast that's coming next), the Spool features people who define our times. People who influence us with their thoughts, ideas, writing, enterprise, creativity.

Commenting on the launch, Shormistha Mukherjee, Director of Flying Cursor  said,  "We love interesting people. You might like or dislike their work or their thoughts, but there are thought leaders, influencers, artists, writers, entrepreneurs who you can not ignore. When you want to understand the cultural shift that's happening in our country, it's important to understand these people. The Spool was born to do that. To examine their motivations, their journey and and their compulsions and understand our times better. And it is through in-depth and intelligent long form interviews with these people that we are hoping to document these times".

The Spool looks to deep dive into people’s stories to provide a unique perspective. The interviews are personal, informal and well researched; to give you a behind the scenes view of what makes these people tick.

The platform has garnered more than 30,000 views on it’s content - majority of which came from mobile users (80% versus 20% for desktop).

The Spool offers audiences an option to read either the long and short versions of interviews - and as per data more 94% of it’s readers prefer the long version.

Some very interesting interviews lined up for every Tuesday of the week - including, one scheduled for today, a chat with India's most talked about author, Chetan Bhagat.
