What's-on-India (WOI) TV Trends aims to give insights into popularity of TV programs in India. It has been built using specialist and proprietary algorithms that collate, analyze and compute millions of observations across multiple platforms. What's-On-India, India's premier Electronic Program Guide (EPG) and TV Search Company, released its What’s On India TV Trends - Weekly Trending Programs list for Week No. 43 (Oct 21-27) on 30th October 2012. 

This report indicates that the reality TV show Bigg Boss presently in its 6th season on Colors has been the most popular among Hindi TV shows. Among daily soaps Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon features in the 2nd place and Bade Acche Lagte Hain on Sony in the 3rd place as per the report.

Ajay Devgn’s starrer Bol Bachchan on Star Gold rules as the most popular movie for the week in the hindi movies category in comparison to  Shahrukh Khan’s Rab Ne Bane Di Jodi on Set Max  and the multi-starrer Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. With Singham (Star Gold) Ajay Devgn  dominates the chart and  is currently in the 4th place.

In the English TV show category Two and a Half Men (now with Ashton Kutcher) continues to get top billing inspite of Charlie Sheen’s departure from the serial . It is apparent that the popularity of the program has not been affected and is still a favourite with What’s on India users. In the 2nd place we have How I Met Your Mother (Star World) and The Big Bang Theory (Zee Cafe) takes 3rd place in trends of Week 43. Grey’s Anatomy  is in the 4th spot in the list and the reality singing competition show American Idol in the 5th spot. These 5 shows comprise the top 5 shows in the list.

In the English Movies category The Dark Knight (WB) is in the first slot and has taken over the newer release Transformers: Dark Of The Moon (HBO) which stands in second place now. Moneyball (Pix) is in the 3rd spot, Iron Man (Movies Now) in the 4th and Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes (Star Movies)is in 5th place according to the list for Week 43. 

In the Sports category. Champions League Twenty20 2012 (Star Cricket) is in the number one slot to be followed by live football action  from the popular Barclays Premier League 2012/13 in second place.The second edition of the Indian Grand Prix FIA F1 World C’ship 2012 features in the 4th spot. 

Doraemon, kids favourite animated cartoon series tops the Kids, Documentaries, Lifestyle & Food category. It is followed by technology show, Tech Guru on CNBC Awaaz. urban Tadka is in the 3rd spot , Dynamo: Magician Impossible in the 4th and What Not To Wear – India is in the 5th spot in this category for Week 43. 

Where regional movies category is concerned Oru Kal Oru Kannadi (Sun TV) was the most popular among viewers and in the Regional TV shows category Kumkumapoovu (Asianet)
