Bombay High Court gives a relief to Maggi

Nestle which had recently been in the news for the ban of its most sought after product Maggi in India has been given a relief as of today by Bombay High Court.

The Bombay High Court has ordered that the ban on Maggi to be lifted so that the new product can go for fresh testing. The 5 samples from the new product will be tested by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) in their three labs Hyderabad, Mohali and Jaipur. These three labs had been accredited by National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL).

According to the court Maggi can come back into the shelves if the test proves after analysing the product for 6 weeks prove that the Lead content in the product is within permissible limits.
