BARC Wk 36 ratings: Star Bharat surges to No. 2, Zee Anmol maintains lead

BARC ratings for Week 36 (September 2-8) [HSM (U+R) : NCCS All : 2+ Individuals] saw Zee Anmol hold on to its lead. However, it is Star Bharat’s (formerly Life OK) performance that has created a buzz. After debuting at the fifth spot last week, the channel climbed up to No. 2. It will be interesting to see whether Star Bharat can give some serious competition to Zee Anmol.

Zee Anmol remained firm in the numero uno spot, garnering gross viewership of 819,438 in Week 36, an increase from 771,523 recorded last week. Re-run of the serial ‘Jamai Raja’ continued as the third most watched show on Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban with 10,423 Impressions (000s). 

Star Bharat (formerly Life OK) continued to see major gains. The channel jumped three notches from No. 5 to No. 2 in Week 36, garnering a gross viewership of 669,588, a further increase from 519,743 recorded last week. 

Zee TV continued to be placed in the third spot this week as well, garnering a gross viewership of 625,640, an increase from 598,705 recorded in Week 35. Its show, ‘Kumkum Bhagya’, slid a notch to the second spot with 10,981 Impressions (000s). Meanwhile, ‘Kundali Bhagya’, the spin-off show of ‘Kumkum Bhagya’, remained in the fourth spot with 10,140 Impressions (000s). 

Star Plus’ position too was unchanged, with the channel parked in the fourth spot in Week 36 as well, garnering a gross viewership of 581,618, an increase from 574,003 recorded last week. 

After being placed in the second spot for a few weeks, Colors slipped to the fifth spot in Week 36. The channel garnered a gross viewership of 560,456, a decline from 613,679 recorded last week. Reality show, ‘Fear Factor Khatron Ke Khiladi – Pain in Spain’, slid to the fifth spot this week with 9,951 Impressions (000s). 

This week, Sony Pal and Sony Entertainment Television switched places, with the former climbing up a notch to No. 6 in Week 36. Sony Pal garnered a gross viewership of 496,335, an increase from 469,504 recorded last week. 

On the other hand, Sony Entertainment Television slid a notch to be placed at No. 7 this week. The channel reported a gross viewership of 491,965, compared to 474,425 recorded in Week 35. 

There was no change in the rankings of Rishtey, Sony SAB and Star Utsav.
