BARC Wk 27 ratings: SaReGaMa, Kumkum Bhagya propel Zee to No. 1

BARC ratings for Week 27 (July 1-7) [HSM (U+R) : NCCS All : 2+ Individuals] saw a lot of upheaval in the Hindi GEC space in Rural+Urban. Zee TV climbed up to No. 1 this week after spending weeks in the mid rungs. Rishtey and Sony Pal, too, saw gains this week, while Star Plus and Colors saw slides. 

Zee TV saw a steep climb in Week 27 to reach the numero uno spot; the channel was placed in the fifth spot last week. Zee TV garnered a gross viewership of 634,718, a jump from 556,117 recorded in Week 26. Talent hunt show ‘Amul Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs’ was the most watched show on Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban in Week 27 with 12,653 Impressions (000s). ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ slid a notch to the second spot with 12,209 Impressions (000s). 

Rishtey climbed up a notch to the second spot in Week 27, garnering a gross viewership of 608,033, a further increase from 583,295 recorded last week. Re-run of ‘Naagin – Season 2’ on the channel was the third most watched show on Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban, witnessing 10,287 Impressions (000s). 

Star Plus slipped to the third spot from No. 1 in Week 26. The channel garnered a gross viewership of 605,936, a marginal increase from 603,213 recorded last week. Dance reality show, ‘Dance Plus 3’, made an entry in the list of most watched shows at No. 4 with 8,509 Impressions (000s). 

Zee Anmol remained unchanged at No. 4 in Week 27, witnessing a decline in its gross viewership – from 591,440 in Week 26 to 562,823 this week. 

Meanwhile, Sony Pal stemmed its slide, with the channel climbing up a notch to the fifth spot in Week 27. Sony Pal recorded a gross viewership of 546,447 this week, compared to 530,875 recorded in Week 26. 

Colors, on the other hand, slid a couple of notches to the sixth spot this week, garnering a gross viewership of 529,163, a decline from 556,816 recorded in Week 26. 

Sony SAB continued in the seventh spot in Week 27 as well, garnering a gross viewership of 401,749, a decline from 419,934 recorded last week. ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ made a re-entry in the list of most watched shows at No. 5 with 8,425 Impressions (000s). 

Sony Entertainment Television, Life OK and Star Utsav continued at No. 8, No. 9 and No. 10, respectively. 

Sony Entertainment Television reported a gross viewership of 384,075, compared to 363,351 recorded last week; while Life OK garnered a gross viewership of 335,229, a further decline from 339,029 recorded in Week 26. 

Star Utsav, on the other hand, saw a marginal increase in its gross viewership in Week 27 – from 274,686 in Week 26 to 278,670 this week.
