Advertising communication is platform neutral: Ashit Kukian

Close on the heels of Abe Thomas joining Radio City as the CEO, came the information of Ashit Kukian moving on. As reported yesterday, he is joining Times Network as President – Revenue.  Kukian, as is known, was the President & COO at Radio City. He has spent 10 remarkable years at the radio station.

This is his second stint with BCCL – where he had a thirteen year spell in his earlier stint and played a number of key roles.  He was a key team member of the team that set up Zoom TV.
Talking exclusively to Adgully.com on his move from radio to television, he stated, “I believe advertising communication is platform neutral hence it’s not just the Radio experience but an overall understanding of the sector that is important to generate revenues. “

When asked, how his stint with Radio City would help him in his new role in a different medium, he stated, “Radio not being the lead choice puts pressure for people in Radio to work harder and thereby get an in-depth understanding of the clients’ requirements. This experience will help in addressing challenges faced in the television broadcasting space and it helps you to match up to the overall needs of a client.”

Commenting on his new role at Times Network, Kukian had earlier stated, “I am extremely excited to take on the new role with Times Network. As an individual helming the revenue vertical of a network that is growing by leaps and bounds, I will try my level best in giving my inputs, industry insights and operational expertise in the best possible manner. Using my experience garnered across print, television and radio I am sure I can lead the team in adding value to the growth of the network channels and business".
