The highly acclaimed trade event for the broadcasting, digital media and entertainment industries, BroadcastAsia2011 will be held from 21-24 June 2011 at Suntec Singapore.

In its 16th edition, BroadcastAsia2011 is themed "Integrating Technology, Experiencing Content," and will focus on the latest in 3D, playout services and special effects technologies as well as Hybrid Broadcast Broadband TV (HbbTV), a new technology projected to be an industry

entertainment market in India witnessed accelerated growth in 2010 and is expected to see a compounded annual growth rate of 14 per cent per annum through 2015 to reach INR 1.3 trillion. With the encouraging industry outlook, more and more Indian industry professionals and companies are seeking to expand their profile in the local media scene.

So we ask Koh how important is India in BroadcastAsia2011's scheme of things.

Koh says, "In terms of exhibitors per se we do see consistently for the past few years repeat exhibitors from India. Which is good, which means that they have been doing good. The Indian marketers also do see South East Asia as an important market. Indian cities are showing growing interest in BroadcastAsia2011. We have in fact expanded our visits in India."

Koh says a good example to point out the growth of broadcast industry in Asia will be by looking at the fact that during the economic slowdown countries that recovered faster where the Asian countries.

"South East Asia collectively is making a whole lot of difference to the broadcast industry. We see good potential in India, China, Korea and Japan," he adds.

The event attendees will experience an enhanced show atmosphere with the introduction of new Techzones and Technology Trails, which distinctly organise key exhibitors by breakthrough technologies.

With the momentum behind the growth of 3DTV and HDTV panning out in the market, the BroadcastAsia2011 International Conference will offer more sessions to address the latest needs and technologies in the broadcasting industry. This year, more than 85 renowned speakers will cover topics related to IPTV, Digital TV and HbbTV ' one of the most exciting developments in the broadcasting and media industry today.

The Creative Content Production Conference will return with a greater focus on content development and production in the Film and TV industry, as well as the convergence opportunities between both. There are expanded opportunities for working with producers and filmmakers, as well as launch screenings for exciting upcoming projects.
