ABP News-Nitish Kumar yet again took over as CM of Bihar

Nitish Kumar yet again took over as chief minister of Bihar with BJP's support today, leaving the grand alliance in disarray and posing serious doubts over its capability to crush the BJP-led NDA in 2019 general elections.

Following the political crisis that loomed in Bihar since Wednesday evening, ABP News and C-Voter conducted a snap poll to gauge the opinion of the people of Bihar.

When asked the respondents about who they felt was responsible for the split with the JD-U and RJD, a massive 74.1% of them blamed Lalu Prasad Yadav. Twenty four percent believe Nitish is to be blamed.

Nitish Kumar is facing a lot of flak among the political circles for his unexpected decision to join hands with BJP and surprisingly scrapping ties with RJD abruptly. Political experts believe he has accepted that the Modi-wave would continue even after two years with the Mahagathbandhan being left with no chance.

However, many beyond the political fraternity have termed it a smart move demonstrating his political maneuverableility.

Who according to you is more responsible for the split in grand alliance - Lalu or Nitish?

Former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav, who is an accused in the land-for-hotels scandal, was asked to "come out with facts in public against the accusations" by JD-U. Nitish Kumaron Wednesday said since Tejashwi did not provide any explanation to the allegations, it become difficult for him to run the grand alliance government.

With the corruption allegations marring Tejashwi Yadav image, an 83.15% of the surveyed lot believe he should have tendered his resignation while around a 15% feel the opposite.

Should Tejaswi Yadav have resigned from his post?

The RJD has maintained that the charges against Lalu Prasad Yadav and his family are politically motivated.  Lalu had questioned why the CBI was implicating Tejashwi, who was a minor at the time when the allotment of IRCTC hotels at Puri and Ranchi were made to private persons his wife Rabri Devi, who did not hold any public office then.

When asked about it, 37% of the respondents felt YES while 55% of them felt Modi had no role to play in it.

Are the alleged corruption charges against Lalu politically motivated?
